Almost ready

It is February, 71 days until our wedding and I am proud to say that we are almost done planning. This is such an exciting time in our lives and with me being the oldest in my family and the first to get hitched, my family is quite excited and on top of everything. We have decided to go with a eggplant purple and sort of a sage green for our colors. The reception is all planned out, were waiting for my dress to come in, and our cake is going to be wonderful. All of our decorations are planned out and our center pieces. We are going on a cruise for our honeymoon; both of us are extremly happy looking forward to it. I just finished designing our announcements and just last weekend we bought Nicks ring. All we really have left is fittings, bridal pictures shoes, all the last min. things that will be done the week of. I can't hardly wait, i'm so excited for this and will especially be when were finished, because although I really love all of this planning, it is hard and sometimes thats all I can ever think of which in turn makes it hard to focus on school. But as time gets closer I will keep posting on new things that are going on in our lives.

He proposed!!!

Five months ago I met the most amazing guy in the world. Little did I know five months later I would be the happiest person in the world. So everyone wants to know how he did it? When we first started dating we would go on a lot of walks, and particularly up to the Elk farm in Ephraim. Well thats where it all began. Our first kiss happend up there and that spot is just so special to both of us. So After Christmas break we both just decided that we love being with eachother so much we wanted to take our relationship to the next level, and started to talk about possibly getting married. We went to my house the first weekend in January and he asked my dad, and that monday we went ring shopping. About two weeks later after waiting he asked me to go on a walk. Like usual we went up to our spot and the sun was setting, beautiful orange and red and we headed up the road. Well the little road that we usually go was so muddy and he seemed to disappointed and I was like, its ok we can go around so we started walking around and found a dry area and walked up to this rock ledge. We climbed up onto it and stood and looked at the temple while the sun was setting. He turned me towards him and said " I have a question to ask you", and then said " are you cold?" and I just laughed and said, um a little, and then he looked and me and said "thats not the question I want to ask you" and then got down on one knee and told me how much he loved me and wants to spend eternity with me and how happy I make him, and then he asked " will you marry me?" and without hesitation I said "YES." We stood there looking at our temple while the sun was setting and well...I dont think it could have been better. So my life is wonderful, our special day is going to be May 6th of 2011, I cant wait to be sealed to him for time and all eternity.

Happy New Year !!!

So it is now year 2011. This year I decided to go to two different parties instead of last year when I only went to the U institute party. I first went to my aunt Ronda's house where we played pool and talked to family. I played two games of pool, and got lucky two times, because I won both haha, both were against my dad and my brother. As soon as I was finished I left to go get ready for Nikki's family party. I was really excited to go see everyone. When I got there we went downstairs and played the new x-box dancing game, so cool, it sees you and you have to mirror what the caracter is doing. Even though it made me feel like a dork, it was so much fun, and I wish that I had the game to bring with me back to my apartment. When it was time to go outside to count down, everyone got ready and watched the fireworks go off. I didn't have Nick there to kiss but I texted him. The year 2010 was a rough year, starting with my dad losing his job and Railey dying, and school was just really hard and summer was really not all that fun, but it ended really well, I met Nick and my dad got his job back, and I got to see Nick over Christmas break and things are just going so well. I am so glad that it is finally over though. Hopefully this new year will bring some good surprises and some excitement. Everyone needs to make up some kind of New years resolution or goal so this year I am making the original goal, and that is to lose some weight, i'm planning on going to the gym more often this year and just working out. I also think that making it a goal to not eat any candy or chocolate for at least half the year would be a good one, but I guess we will see what happens.

Christmas 2010

This Christmas dad asked me what I had wanted for christmas. All I could think of was clothes, since I have lost weight I have been needing some clothes, so when he told me that I could just go shopping, I was excited! Shopping around christmas time is not the funnest thing to do, all the traffic and the parking lots were horrible. But after a couple days of shopping, I was finally done, wrapped everything and have been cleaning up the house for my parents; one of their christmas presents from me. I am so grateful for a lot of things, especially this time of year, I love getting into the whole christmas mood and giving to others. Every year my family does a secret santa and this year we did it for my dad's friend. I love the feeling you get after dropping the presents off at the house, and the smiles on their faces. This year was different than usual, we as always have a family party on christmas eve but this year it was at uncle Jim's house which by the way is beautiful and so full of love. The grandparents are getting too old and have for the past two years been leaving real early. Great grandma Bowen is still here with us and it was a pleasure to spend it here with her. Christmas day as usual we wake up, dad and mom make breakfast and we eat it before we open presents. Right after we open our presents and get ready to go to grandpa Gee's in the back. Our family this year got a new 32" flat screen t.v. which Nathan seems to think is his, since he is always playing his x-box on it. Lindsey's big present was her Mac book, which she seems to enjoy having. I'm getting really excited because Nick seemed to have a great christmas as well with his family although he did not tell me what he got, he is coming up on tue. and wants to show me, so i'm excited to see what he got. I've been counting down the days til he comes, I miss his company and the way he makes me laugh, so I can't wait til tue. Today we got our christmas snow, yesterday we didn't get anything, so i'm glad that it is snowing. So far this break has been good, spending it with family and friends. I'm so grateful for everything I have and can't wait til this new year, and for what it will bring.

Me & Nick

Nickolas Johnson and I met at Snow College fall semester 2010. Both our second year. Nick just came back from an LDS mission in Indiana, which he happen to really love. He loves telling stories about all the great experiences that he went through, and the people that he served. Nick is the youngest of four great boys raised by two wonderful parents, Alan and Paula. He enjoys talking about his family and the fond memories that they have had together. Nick loves doing anything outdoors, hunting being his favorite. When he goes home he likes to hunt rabbits with his brother Brady and his best friend Sam. Nicks is going into Pharmacy, which he after finished up with Snow College will hopefully transfer over to the University of Utah. We have been dating for four great months and i've have the best time of my life, he is such a great guy and I have loved getting to know him better. I was getting ready to leave for Christmas break when Nick had asked me to come home with him to meet his family. As nervous as I was, I just couldn't believe that this was happening and immediately said yes. I was excited to see these wonderful people he always talks about. I had a wonderful two days in Delta with his family, they are so great and I didn't want to leave. But about a couple days after Christmas Nick came up to Salt Lake and spent a day with my family. Even though my family is a little crazy he enjoyed staying here, getting to know my family and then later on it was time to meet the rest of his family. There happend to be a huge winter snow storm and we had to go clear out over to the other side of the valley and even though we left an hour early there was no way we were going to make it on time. The roads were really bad and my car was sliding everywhere, but we finally made it, now to meet the family. I had seen pictures of his brothers families and was so excited to meet them. They made me feel very comfortable and I felt like I fit right in, even though I was really quiet. This has just been such a great adventure I just can't wait to see what more adventures come next. I will keep posting on new things that happen.

Labor day weekend

I was looking forward to this weekend for awhile, i think maybe because i needed a break from all of this studying and reading my brains out. Before all of this went down, my dad had to make things more complicated than they had to be, and got me really fustrated, but in the end it turned out perfect and there wasn't that much fighting like i had expected. My sister came with her friend and my brother with his. In total there were twenty two people in one huge cabin down at bear lake. There was plenty of things to keep us occupied for the whole trip, we had brought ourboatup, they had a boat as well as four wheelers. We just had a blast and i'm so glad my family decided to go. We were fed like kings and queens and more, we were very lucky to be there and it was extremely nice of them to buy us food and pay for the gas to move around in the A-TVs. The weather was great for the first two days to go boating, but monday was sucky and i decided not to get in, plus i was extremely sore from the night before. My brother and I including Amy and my brothers friend went four wheeling up the mountain and i had the wierdest feeling to check the gas but i didn't and sure enough while riding with Amy i heard this wierd sound and the sound was familiar, i told her to pull over just as she said i think were out of gas. She went with my brother back to the cabin to tell them the sad news, while me and Dani sat on the dead one watching the orange sun set and started to get cold. It had been at least half an hour and we were getting bored so we decided to push it up the 45degree hill that was full of dirt and rocks. By the time they came back, we were almost to the top of the hill and finally we went back to the cabin and got to eat. Now that is one lesson i learned over the break but also to love your family no matter what, i'm so glad i got to see them and am happy that they love me as much as i love them. I wouldn't exchange anything in the world for them.

College Life

It's the first of the month again, i cant believe how fast this year has flown by. About sixteen days ago i moved down to the small town of Ephriam city Utah, where i am attending snow college. College life is so much different than i expected, it has its ups and downs, but for the most part i'm managing very well, and i quite enjoy it down here. I've already taken a math test, and i think i did very well, at least i sure hope so. Usually when you think you've done well it turns out to be the complete opposite, so i hope in this case i did well. There's not much to do down here so me and my roommates try to make the best out of everything, and just have fun. Some recent activities we have done are, hiking the big "S" on the mountain, go to a bon fire, and play numerous amounts of sports. Just this past week i've been sick so i've been a little lazy, but thats ok once in awhile right? I've had loads of studying and homework to do since school started, it's absolutely crazy! But since i didn't get a job down here, i have all the time in the world to study and get the good grades i need to pass my first year of college. Roommate drama, wow can i tell you how stupid fighting is, and not worth it. Well just in these past few weeks there has been an awful lot of drama between the four of us. Between boys, which sink to use, dishes, cleaning, and using straightners and beauty supplies, its a mad house. Although i have to say the four of us are doing very good compared to others i've heard about. Me and Whit are clean freaks, Am and Sar havn't really done many chores in there past 18yrs of life. So you can image how things go on around the apartment, i sometimes feel like i'm doing more than others, and i'm sure thats how the others feel as well. As for boys, well lets just say i dont think anything is going to happen within the next year for me, and thats ok, i think i just got my hopes up to high before i came down here. Whenever we hang out in a big group Sar is mainly the big attention grabber so all the guys flawk to her as if they were seagulls and she had the last piece of bread in the valley. It's wierd but i'm trying to get used to it, even though i'm kinda already because of my life before college. My sister is also the same way, guys just go to her and i dont exist, but either way both girls are extremly beautiful and deserve it. Labor day is coming up and all of us were invited to Whits cabin up at bear lake so were headed down there early saturday morning, all of our families were invited as well so i cant wait to see my dad and my siblings, my mom will not be able to come becuase of work but i will surely miss her. stay in tune for the next blog :)
