5-6-11 The best day of my life
The start of a new journey, has finally begun. This day is the day that I married my best friend, and the day that will make me happy for eternity.
After finals on the thursday the week before our wedding, I was so stressed, we had to clean the whole apartment and not just a simple clean, but a deep clean that made it very hard to do while thinking of the wedding and thinking about how I was going to make it to my 4 o'clock appointment for my dress fitting. Nick being the wonderful man that he is saw how stressed I was and immediately took over and started to help me clean. When we were done and had both went home, that started the, what seemed like a very very long week. Within that week we had my bridal shower, bridal pictures taken, and lots of shopping. I know doesnt sound like a lot but it totally was a lot of work. The following thrursday, the day before the wedding, my dad, me, and my grandparents from Florida went down to Manti where me and Nick finally were able to see eachother again. I was so excited for 5 o'clock to come, because then I could go through the temple for the first time, and definetly not the last. I was going to be marrying my best friend, what could be better than that. Going throgh the temple was the most amazing experience i've ever felt in my life next to marrying Nick. I felt wonderful, I felt whole, I'm now with the person i'm going to spend eternity with, it was amazing. After taking pictures outside the temple we went to a luncheon that Alan and Paula set up, which happened to have great food. Driving back to Salt Lake for the reception was a very long drive, but at the same time it felt so rushed, see we had to be there for pictures. What a terribly long time, I felt like we were taking pictures for a week then we were late getting to the reception, with a huge line of people waiting. It did not go like i'd planned, the DJ didn't have our song, and picked one out for us, by the way I cant remember it, and the music was loud, and the song I danced with my dad wasn't the song I wanted. But although all those things had went wrong the only thing that mattered was that I was spending those moments with Nick. Then it was time to leave, thanks to a good friend we got the hotel for free and had the best day of our lives.
